We're Aiming For No Stupid Answers

PARKING

Where do I park?

Street parking: Available on 4th Ave S, 5th Ave S, and S Findlay St.
Neighbor’s Lot to the North: PAID PARKING after 6pm on weekdays and all hours on the weekend. To prevent towing, NO PARKING before 6pm on weekdays. Never park in the spots against the neighbor’s building.

CLASSES

How and/or when do I get my class zoom link?

We typically email zoom links 24-48 hours before the first day of class. If your class starts tomorrow and you have not received your zoom link, please email us. Some email programs such as Hotmail and Yahoo block our emails to you, but we are ready and waiting on your first day to help you get into class.

I purchased a class but didn’t hear from SAL.

Thank you for purchasing a class. We typically send out class info and zoom links the day before class. Worried you may have missed something? Simply reply to that email invoice and let us know what you need. We’ll reply within 24 hours, or immediately if your class is starting.

No invoice? There may have been an error in entering your contact information at check out. Please reach out to contact@seattleartistleague.com.

Do you have to be a member to take a class?

Nope. Membership comes with perks like early registration, invitations to shows, discounts, and our eternal admiration. You can click here to learn more about our membership options, but you do not need to be a member to take a class. Students do need to be at least 15 years old to take classes outside of our Youth & Teen Camp classes.

If you are interested in becoming a member and all the wonderful perks that come with membership, visit our membership page.

Can I get a refund on my class purchase?

Class fees are non-refundable. If something comes up and you will be unable to attend class, we offer the following solutions:

If refund is requested 6 days or more before class starts: 100% Credit toward a different class
If refund is requested 5 days or less before the class begins: 50% Credit toward a different class.
We do not offer refunds or credit towards another class once the class has started.

If you have extenuating circumstances, please contact us. We are reasonable and understanding people.

What happens if i miss a class?
It will be no problem to miss a class or two. Our students tend to have busy schedules, and we design our classes with that in mind.

We do not offer make up classes, but your instructor will be able to get you caught up when you return to class. If you are currently registered in a pottery class you’ll be able to use our unlimited Open Studio time to catch up on your projects.

Please use our Student Absence Form to let us know you will be absent. Please DO NOT email us about a class absence unless you will be missing more than two class sessions.
Are recordings of online classes available?

Yes! Recordings of online class sessions will be available to registered students. We usually post the class recordings to the class Padlet page within a day or two of the class session. Unless otherwise noted in the class description, we do not offer recordings of in-person classes at this time.

Do I really need to buy a painting kit?

In most cases, students find that purchasing the painting kits from Seattle Artist League is the most convenient and cost-effective option. We sell the kits at cost for the convenience of our students; we do not make any profit from the painting kits. After purchase the kit will be waiting for you at the first class session.

The Class I'd Like to take is sold out - Can you add me to the Wait List?

Is the class you’d like to take sold out? Please complete our Waiting List form to be added to the class waiting list. Please DO NOT email us. We will use this form to reach out to students if any extra seats become available.
