YOUTH: Improvisation and Character Creation with Puppets MORNING July 31 – Aug 4

$240.00

This is an IN-PERSON camp at our new location 5516 4th Ave South, in Georgetown.

  • Teacher: Stephani Sachs
  • Student Age: 9 – 12 years old
  • Class Length: 5 Days
  • Date: July 31 – Aug 4
  • Time: 9:30 – 12:30

This camp uses puppets as a way to get kids to practice improvisation, interaction, and collaborative storytelling. Students will have the attention of a professional puppet builder and puppeteer who specializes in this and loves to work with young actors.

Using their own or using puppets provided, campers will use exercises that help them develop basic skills in improv. By practicing making voices and acting out stories they invent with each other, students will gain confidence as performers and expand their creative vocabulary. During camp students will use their own or the provided puppets to create characters while inventing improvisational dialogue.

Covid Statement: The Seattle Artist League currently requires masking for all students and teachers. We will evaluate the policy before the start of camps. Please check back for updates.
