Free yourself from the restraints of functional pottery. In this class, students will learn to use the potter’s wheel to create forms and shapes. Shapes will be combined, altered, flipped, carved, and stacked to create sculptural objects. Unique ways to use the wheel will be taught so students can think outside the box to use the wheel in abstract ways. Students should be comfortable centering 3lbs of clay, and pulling 6” cylinders.
Prerequisite: Beginning Wheel 2
Come dressed comfortably, with clothes that can get messy.
Tools and materials will be provided – materials included in price.
