Find a new way to capture faces outside of selfies and pictures this summer with the portrait drawing camp! Students in this camp will learn to draw portraits using several methods of observation and a variety of materials. Students will be working in small groups and having the opportunity to draw from multiple sources (sculptures, peers, photographs, and mirrors). This is a drawing-focused camp working primarily in dark and light, with some opportunities to explore color and mixed media towards the end of the camp. Whether you want to discover a new hobby or refine your drawing abilities, this camp would be great for all creative teens. You can utilize the skills in this camp to express yourself, create gifts, and go further with your artistic journey.
This camp is suitable for students of all skill levels, but some prior drawing ability is encouraged.
Artists are encouraged to bring a sketchbook and drawing materials that they enjoy. All other tools and materials will be provided – materials included in price.
Covid Statement: The Seattle Artist League currently requires masking for all students and teachers. We will evaluate the policy before the start of camps. Please check back for updates.
