Beginning Painting
This camp is for beginning painters, and those who would like a boost to their painting skills. Students will learn the essential basics like brush handling, controlling paint consistency, mixing colors, seeing values, the color and effects of light.
They’ll explore composition and color theory while gradually building their knowledge and refining their skills. Students will paint from observation as well as abstractly, with the final paintings allowing them to explore their choice in depth.
All materials will be provided.
Optional: a zippered water resistant portfolio (larger than 12″ x 18″ ) for carrying your work. Or 2 pieces of foam core board gorilla taped together is also good and much less expensive
