This is an IN-PERSON adult class at our new location: 5516 4th Ave South, in Georgetown.

Pots with Attitude

Explore the body language of the pottery vessel by creating ceramics with gesture. The practice of not only accepting flaws but celebrating the irregularities that make pots interesting and unique. Express yourself by working with clay and capturing an attitude through asymmetrical undulations and irregularities.

PREREQUISITE: Beginning Pottery with any instructor. Any experience throwing on the wheel.

Come dressed comfortably, with clothes that can get messy.

Tools and materials will be provided – a 25lb bag of terra cotta clay is included in the price. We take care of the firing for you.

Pottery Classes at the Seattle Artist League

Join us for pottery classes in our 2,700 square foot studio in Seattle’s Georgetown Arts District. We offer classes for beginning ceramics in wheel throwing, hand-building, firing, and glazing. Our pottery classes are open to beginners and intermediate potters.

We have long offered classes in clay sculpting. Our commitment to the medium has expanded with the opening of our south Seattle Ceramics Studio. Join us for classes, workshops, and events in Seattle’s newest ceramics studio.

At the Seattle Artist League, we have a start where you are philosophy. You are welcome in our studio as a beginner or a seasoned pro. Join us. Classes in Wheel Throwing and Hand-Building Pottery begin in June.
