Introduction to Glazing will take an investigative approach to decoration options. Students will research the nature of glaze, underglaze, and slip effects by making their own tiles and testers. The focus of the course is to provide students with technical and empirical knowledge about composition, application, and fired effects of ceramic glazes, to help them make informed decisions as they strive to realize their vision.
