Intro to Critique

Artists need to be able to give and receive feedback on their work, but critique is synonymous with harsh criticism, and “I like it” doesn’t offer much help to a painter who wants to grow. So how do we see, think about, and evaluate works of art? In this structured and supportive discussion class, students will develop their ability to talk about a wide variety of artworks in real and constructive ways. Students will evaluate works by other artists, and their own works (if they wish to share).
All levels welcome.
