In this 3 hours workshop, students will learn to observe and represent line, mass, form, volume, and texture by modeling to sculpt creatures out of clay. The process will familiarize students with all basic handbuilding techniques used to construct forms using clay. Pieces are finalized by using slip and glaze ceramic surfaces to complete their sculptures.
Using both abstraction and realism, artists actively develop their eye. Exploring various multiple approaches in representing many types of figures. From spines to scales to fur, students will use multiple tools to represent texture over form.

Come dressed comfortably, with clothes you can get messy.
