Drawing II
This class series builds on the skills learned in Beginning Drawing I. With exercises and personalized feedback, this class will teach participants how to start with an idea, progress through a series of studies and revisions, and take the drawing to completion. Focus will be on composition, pathways, and a contemporary method of drawing. Students will also be introduced to the critique process, and begin to feel comfortable offering constructive, positive, insightful feedback to their peers.
Drawing is at the heart of everything we do at the League. The process of drawing is how we develop our artistic sensibility, and leads us to see the world in new ways. Everyone draws differently, because no one’s hand moves the same way, no one’s perception matches any other’s. We invite you to take this class after you take Beginning Drawing I through at least one series.
This class series will explore graphite and charcoal, as well as introducing watercolor paper and ink.
PREREQUISITE: Beginning Drawing I (at least once). After Drawing II, students are invited to take figure drawing, heads (or portraiture) or beginning painting.
