This one-day workshop asks students, what do we actually see and what stays with us after we look away? In this workshop, we’ll spend time observing simple still lives before turning away to draw from memory. Rather than focusing on accuracy, we’ll explore perception, attention and the unique way each mind records experience. Through a series of drawing exercises, students will discover that memory is not a limitation but a creative collaborator. This class is an invitation to trust what remains and cultivate a deeper relationship with seeing.
