$115.00

Ceramic Tile Making

  • Teacher: Scott McClellan
  • Class Length: 2 sessions
  • Date: Thursdays, beginning December 8
  • Time: 6:00 – 9:00pm
  • Materials fee $25 – included in price

Class Description:

Make decorative relief tiles for gifts or for your home. Learn rolling, cutting, and extruding and decorate with your choice of relief, image transfer, sgraffito, inlay, glazes, and slip trailing. Participants will be guided through the process from sketch to finished pieces.

HOLIDAY HINT: Not only can you serve food on these food-safe tiles, but they can also be used as trivets for a table, stove, or counter top. You can also use decorative tiles in the garden. Turn your tile into a trivet by adding a protective surface to the bottom of the tile. You can hot glue a layer of felt on the bottom. Or for greater heat and scratch protection, affix a cork tile to the bottom.
