Over the course of three sessions, you’ll learn the essentials of working with clay and explore various techniques to craft fun and beautiful tiles that will enhance the beauty of your garden.

You’ll have the freedom to experiment with different shapes, sizes, and surface textures, allowing you to create a diverse set of tiles. We’ll delve into surface decoration and relief techniques to add artistry to your tiles. You’ll learn about carving and painting methods that will bring life and personality to your creations. We’ll also explore different glazes and finishes suitable for outdoor durability.
No prior ceramic experience is necessary for this workshop. All materials and tools will be provided. Join us to explore the wonderful world of ceramic artistry and create a stunning collection of personalized garden tiles to enhance your outdoor space!
Pottery Classes at the Seattle Artist League
Join us for pottery classes in our 2,700 square foot studio in Seattle’s Georgetown Arts District. We offer classes for beginning ceramics in wheel throwing, hand-building, firing, and glazing. Our pottery classes are open to beginners and intermediate potters.
We have long offered classes in clay sculpting. Our commitment to the medium has expanded with the opening of our south Seattle Ceramics Studio. Join us for classes, workshops, and events in Seattle’s newest ceramics studio.
