Beginning Handbuilding 2

In this class, students will take their hand building skills to the next level. Projects inclusion slab, coil, pinch, sculpting, extruding, and molds will be taught. Students will be encouraged to find projects that push boundaries of scale and complexity. Surface design and decorative techniques will be taught to compliment forms and enhance your creative ideas. The instructor will be working one on one with each student. Together you will problem solve and plan how to create pottery and sculpture that push your creativity and skill.

Come dressed comfortably, with clothes that can get messy.

Tools and materials will be provided – materials included in price.

Pottery Classes at the Seattle Artist League

Join us for pottery classes in our 2,700 square foot studio in Seattle’s Georgetown Arts District. We offer classes for beginning ceramics in wheel throwing, hand-building, firing, and glazing. Our pottery classes are open to beginners and intermediate potters.

We have long offered classes in clay sculpting. Our commitment to the medium has expanded with the opening of our south Seattle Ceramics Studio. Join us for classes, workshops, and events in Seattle’s newest ceramics studio.
