Beginning Drawing 2: Still Life & Figure in Interior

In this 8-week Drawing 2 course, designed for artists who have completed Drawing 1, participants will learn more about drawing from observation and believable imagination. This course covers a variety of topics, including still life and figure drawing, with a strong focus on the art-making process. Participants will receive both individual and group feedback to help create a supportive environment for discussing and improving drawing techniques.

You will be encouraged to experiment with different materials and techniques, paying close attention to structure and composition. You are encouraged to expand your artistic approach by continuously refining your drawings. The course also includes studying the works of various artists, from past and present, to learn about their techniques and apply this knowledge to your own work.

By the end of the course, participants will have a better understanding of how to compose a drawing, how to effectively set up and draw from a still life, and a richer knowledge of the materials available for drawing objects in space. Additionally, participants will find themselves more comfortable discussing their drawing process and the ideas behind their work, which will enhance their artistic experience.
