Finally! I’m posting the 30SAL Finalists for January 2022!
Over 4,000 30SAL Artworks posted to Padlet and Instagram
In January, artists all over the globe sketched, inked, sculpted, collaged, and animated their way through our 30 Day Creative Challenge. Challenges exercised a wide array of artistic skills, including observation, composition, sequence, see & respond, vocabulary, and transcriptions. If you think “Uh… January was a long time ago. It’s April.” Yeah. I’m with you. I’d expected to be wrapping up this project at the end of February, but even though the challenges were complex and demanding, participation grew as the month went on, and by the end of January there were over 4,000 30sal artworks posted to Padlet and Instagram.
How many did you do?
If you participated even once, you broke the barrier of the empty page, and that’s a win. Some of you did challenges on weekends, others whenever time allowed. So good! A surprising number of you got right down to it and muscled out all 30 challenges. That’s a huge accomplishment! I lost track of the artists who completed 30 out of 30, but please make some confetti and throw it in the air for yourself, then contact me within the next 30 days for a coupon code to get $30 off of any art class. You are amazing.

Today’s Beginning Sumi-e workshop …
