Coptic art includes any of the murals, textiles, illuminated manuscripts, relief sculpture, and metalwork associated with the Greek and Egyptian speaking Christian peoples of Egypt from about the 3rd to the 12th century AD. Coptic icons depict beautiful religious narratives, and do not reach to portray realism, depth, naturalistic forms, or perspective. Figures, animals, and plants are flat, simplified, and stylized within outlines and pattern motifs. Arab-style architectural features and Arabic calligraphy provide additional decoration.

Day 20 of our 30 day January Challenge was Pogonotrophy: the act of cultivating, or growing and grooming, a mustache, beard, sideburns or other facial hair. I was able to shave it down to 50 pogonotrophs, without splitting hairs.
