In January, artists all over the globe sketched, inked, smeared, melted, and scribbled their way through our 30 Day Creative Challenge. The wide variety of creative challenges included vocabulary, observation, comics, design ,composition, imagination, and experimental creative prompts. Media was artist’s choice. Challenges were posted to our website and sent to inboxes around the globe from January 1 to 30, and we received hundreds of responses. What fun it was!
I promised prizes, and here they are at last: the winners of the 30 Day January Challenge.
1st Prize: $500 cash 2nd Prize: $250 SAL Gift Certificate 3rd Prize: $150 SAL Gift Certificate Honorable Mentions: $50 SAL Gift Certificates
30 out of 30
Though it was not necessary to complete all 30 challenges to participate, or even to win, some of you did complete all 30 out of 30, and you deserve a special congratulations. Nothing about January 2021 was easy, including the challenge. There are likely more of you who completed all 30, and I may never know how many of you tenacious and dedicated artists are out there, but these 29 artists said they did all 30, and I believe them. Well done, you!
