Scrooch
PRONUNCIATION: (skrooch)
MEANING: verb intr.: To crouch or huddle. verb tr.: To squeeze.
ETYMOLOGY: A dialect variant scrouge (to squeeze or crowd), perhaps influenced by crouch. Earliest documented use: 1844.
