“The beginning is the best part. Why continue? Yes, things will get richer and deeper, but the simplicity and directness of a birdsong is soon gone. When I get old and begin losing my marbles I will learn to keep it simple, the way Matisse, De Kooning and Whistler did in the end.” – Alex Kanevsky, somepaintings
My new intermediate drawing/painting class STYLE starts August 1st. It’s for people who know the fundamentals but are stuck, and for people who would like to figure out (or re-figure out) who they are and where they’d like to go as artists. We’ll start by asking you about how you think and how you work. There will be plenty of time to try on different artist’s processes to see how they feel, and plenty more time to hone in on your own path. “STYLE” is designed to help you paint (or draw or think) more like you.
