In conjunction with Fredericka Foster’s Art & Activism; The Salish Sea class series, the League will be hosting a juried Salish Sea art show September 15-16, 2018. You do not need to be an active member of the League to be accepted. Artists of all ages and experience levels are invited to submit their work.
Details
Topic: The Salish Sea. Includes flora, fauna, water, maps, memories, or anything else having to do with the local sea.
Deadline for Submission: September 1, 2018
Show Dates: September 15-16, 2018
Submission Fee: $10 per artist (not per artwork). Free for teens and Salish Sea Art & Activism students. Entry does not guarantee acceptance into the show. Profits will be donated to the Salish Sea Project.
Sales: All sales go directly to the artist.
Size limit: No size restriction, but please keep in mind we’ll be working with limited space. (The show will be in our studio – we’ll paint the room, and put up our movable walls.)
Media: Artist’s choice. Works on canvas or panel must be wired and ready to hang. Unframed works on paper can be displayed with clips or magnets. We have 3 pedestals for 3D works.
Awards and Prizes : Third, Second, and First Place awards for works of art will be decided by the jury committee. Each award winner will receive a $50, $75, and $100 gift certificate for classes at the League. Their work and a brief artist’s statement will be featured on our website and newsletter.
